Names[edit]

Hey, great work on this article, but there's something wrong with the enemy & Mid-Boss names. Although some Kirby sites may claim otherwise, the opponents exclusive to this game (apart from the Squeaks and maybe a few others) have never received official English names; what "English" names there may be on the net are fan "translations" of the Japanese ones. As per our standards and to avoid speculation and disagreements about how to render certain names, these names should be rendered in standard hepburn and the articles in question marked with Template:ForeignTitle; also see that template's documentation. The fan-made names can redirect there, but shouldn't be used as article titles or links.--Vellidragon 17:17, 4 July 2012 (CDT)

Huh, I don't know what their official names are, so I took them from sites that ripped the sprites. You think we should move names such as "Big Metalum" to the actual one? So, what are the Japanese names for the enemy and Mid-Bosses? I need to fix those red links before they are filled in. Aphelocomaマリオ 18:00, 4 July 2012 (CDT)

Names for different continents[edit]

Kirby Mouse Attack, Kirby Squeak Squad. Two names that both link to this article, but the article only mentions the latter. Why doesn't it tell anything about the first one? ~Toad'ShyGuy (Talk)

I provided the alternate title in parentheses now. If you think something is missing, it doesn't hurt to add it. After all, this wiki is far from complete. Aphelocomaマリオ 18:50, 23 October 2012 (CDT)
Be careful about using the "PAL" terminology for such alternative names; Australia is also part of the PAL region, so it seems to imply it's also true for the Australian release, which isn't always the case anymore. (I know it's still technically correct as Australia usually doesn't get "PAL versions" of games for this particular system, but that's hard to figure out without prior knowledge & it's just a lot clearer by not using the "PAL" term at all when the Australian release is different.)--Vellidragon 14:23, 25 October 2012 (CDT)
I had Austrailia in mind when I was typing this, and I wasn't sure if Australia had the same name as European releases, so I decided that I'll use PAL instead of European. :| Aphelocomaマリオ 18:21, 25 October 2012 (CDT)
Australia sometimes gets PAL versions (more frequently so with older games) and sometimes it doesn't; it depends on the system and also the specific game. Nintendo DS games tend to get their own localisations or North American ones, which also appears to be the case with this game. As a result, it's called Kirby: Squeak Squad in Australia (this can be confirmed on the Australian Nintendo site - a good place to check btw if you're not certain about the Australian name) and Kirby: Mouse Attack in Europe, which is why "PAL" was misleading here.--Vellidragon 16:32, 28 October 2012 (CDT)

Reference to the anime[edit]

I notice that in the world 1 map, some of the levels that have a background of dedede's castle. That castle graphic is actually an image of dedede's castle from the anime unlike other games (they resemble a standard castle). And another thing is that the dedede boss room has a teleporter like the anime too. Kirbyfan01 (talk) 06:51, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Interesting information. It's worthy to be added in this article. Bazooka Mario (talk) 21:14, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
