Parasol is an ability which has appeared in numerous Kirby games, and is obtained mainly from the Parasol enemy. However, it can also be received via Copy Essence Deluxes. The only physical change which takes place is the addition of the Parasol being equipped, and held. With the parasol equipped, Kirby can create Parasol Waddle Dee as a Helper. The Parasol ability gives him upwards protection from falling enemies such as Coconuts , and a surrounding shield which will destroy enemies on impact. When combined with the Dash move, Kirby can charge and destroy all the enemies in front of him. This includes those in midair, but only if the move is used when off the ground. Not limited to full offensive attacks, if the Parasol Kirby holds touches an enemy, the enemy in question will either be destroyed and/or dealt damage. A notable feature of the ability is that Kirby receives extra speed while gliding, which is memorable in Gourmet Race, as it can be used to best even the speed of Wing Kirby.
