Strike Box is an enemy first encountered in the White Wafers level in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It can only be defeated by striking it with the Grand Hammer Super Ability while it is extended. It cannot be inhaled.
Strike box resembles a Jack in the Box, though it is made of stone and has a strange owl-like face and is adorned with glowing stars. It resides in many boxes, and only comes out of one at a time, either just to poke its head out, or to fire at Kirby. Kirby can only defeat this enemy by striking it with the Grand Hammer while its head is poking out. Doing so causes it and all of its boxes to burst, yielding many stars and food items while also usually yielding a path.
There is a giant variety of Strike Box that only appears once in the game. Destroying it yields a path to the alternate dimension.
