General Description
Moonlight Mansion is a medium-sized area and has only a few connections to other locales, specifically Rainbow Route, Olive Ocean, and Candy Constellation. The majority of exploration takes place in the mansion's vast interior. Various enemies (see table below) can be found throughout the many seemingly offices, studies, laboratory areas, and hallways between them. Some of the hazards Kirby will encounter include pits, spikes, electrical charges, and Gordos. As one of the simplest areas of Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, only a few puzzles challenge Kirby in order to progress further. The majority of the switches, bomb blocks, and metal blocks are used to access bonus areas and treasure chests.

Map
AMMMNavMap
Moonlight Mansion is a very segmented area, consisting of four primary regions. The area to the left of the Entry is outside the mansion and is visually similar to the rightward areas a Rainbow Route. The middle-right area is inside the mansion proper in its main rooms. The lower areas are the basement, which can lead to the Boss, and the upper area is a high tower in the mansion which leads to Candy Constellation. Overall, there are 20 normal rooms, one hub, one entry, and one Warp room.

Moonlight Mansion is bordered to the west by Rainbow Route, has an access tunnel to Olive Ocean in the south (or down, in this case), which needs to be activated on both sides, and has a one-way Warp to Candy Constellation to the north (or up, in this case).

Moonlight Mansion has two Goal rooms. Completing these rooms takes Kirby and his clones to the Goal Game, then returns them to the Grand Central Hub of Rainbow Route.

Full Synopsis
spoilers
Entry
Two doors link to this area; Room 20 to the left, and Room 1 to the right. The left entrance is one-way, meaning that Kirby cannot return directly to Room 20 from this room. Also, the Warp room from Rainbow Route will take Kirby here.

The area is characterized as a wide-open space with the mansion's entrance to the right. A red Golem guards it, but can be dispatched easily by swallowing it. Just inside the entrance is a lovely bookcase. Oh, there's also a giant treasure chest containing the map for the entire area. After Kirby enjoys the ham sitting on the shelf, he can proceed to Room 1 using the door to the right.

Hub
|Scarfy
This hub connects from Room 2 to the left and Room 3 on the right. Once this room is reached, it also links back to the Grand Central Hub.

Goal 1
One door links to this area, from Room 6 above. The entrance is one-way, meaning that Kirby cannot return directly to Room 6 from this room.

Entering this room immediately leads to a confrontation with a Batafire in an open space. Defeating it yields Kirby the Burning ability. The door to the Goal Game can then be reached just to the right, in a separate room. There are no other obstacles.

|Waddle Doo
This area consists of several distinct rooms inside the mansion, each filled with a different baddie patrolling the various furnishings. Bomb Block walls separate some of the rooms, while Switch-toggled doors block off others. The area on the right is separated from the left by two Metal blocks, which require specific powers to bust through, ones that cannot be found in this room. The door to Room 2 can be accessed up a ladder to the left and past some more bad guys. The other three doors are on the right side, one blocked off by Bomb Block rubble, and the other past a room full of spikes. There's a third door past the one below the rubble, but Kirby has to be quick to reach it.

This area consists mainly of a single room, with a hallway and a brief outside area adjoining it. The Mid-Boss Mr. Flosty guards this room. Defeating him should be relatively simple, and he gives up the Ice ability upon being swallowed. Kirby does not actually have to fight him, however, as he could just jump past this pesky foe. The door to Room 1 can be found just below the Mid-Boss room, while the door to the Hub can be reached past an external chasm bridged by soft platforms and a few flying enemies. A Maxim Tomato can also be found outside.

This area is characterized by two separate hallways, one on top of the other. The lower one is very short, and links Rooms 1 and 5 together. The upper one is a slight longer, taking Kirby past a bottomless chasm full of Scarfies to the right to link the Hub and Room 4 together. The two hallways are completely separate, meaning Kirby cannot reach one directly from the other.

The left entrance is one-way, meaning that Kirby cannot return directly to Room 3 from this room.

This room consists of a number of hallways inside the mansion, with Bomb Block barricades and enemies all about. Hitting some, but not all of the barricades will open the way to Room 7. The bottom-right area contains a series of rooms with Gordos and a Heavy Knight guarding them. The lower-right door sits under a breakable barrier, while the upper-right door is blocked by Metal Blocks.

Three doors link to this area; Room 3 above, Room 7 to the right and Room 6 below.

This area consists of several small interconnected rooms and hallways. The hallway occupying the bottom of this area spans a bottomless chasm, and is initially blocked off by a heavy stone block. This can be moved by Super Inhaling it, but a lesser-known trick is to slam into a wall repeatedly using Burning to shake it out of place. Several enemies and spikes in the lower hall will vie to get in the way. Passing them leads to the door to Room 6. The door to Room 7 is hidden near the start of this area.

This area consists of halls leading downward, past guards and blockades of various kinds. On the way down, Kirby can find a delicious ham sitting next to a whirring machine of unknown purpose. Near the bottom, an angry Giant Rocky is hopping about. Don't get scared, just swallow it like anything else. From there, a Bomb Block in the floor opens up a secret basement full of strange machinery and more guards. The path continues downward in a zig-zag fashion, until the door to Goal 1 can be found at the bottom.

Moonlight Mansion is the second area visited in Kirby & The Amazing Mirror. Moonlight Mansion is first entered after completing Rainbow Route. This area is one of the nine areas of the Mirror World and one of the only two not named after a food, the other being Rainbow Route. It is also one of the three areas consisting of a single building. Hidden deeply in the dark mansion, King Golem guards a Mirror Shard.

General Description[edit]

Besides the expected food, batteries, Maxim Tomatoes, 1-Ups and rare Invincible Candy, Kirby can find Orange Spray Paint, Chalk Spray Paint, and the Enemy Sounds.
