Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land is a remake of Kirby's Adventure for the Game Boy Advance released in 2002 by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo. In it, the Star Rod, which made sleeping peaceful in Dream Land, is stolen by King Dedede. Hoping to restore peace to sleeping, Kirby goes through 7 levels to retrieve it, with each level having a boss that he must beat before going to the next. Once Kirby beats a part of a level, he will exit it and a flag will appear next to it to signify that. After beating the game once, Kirby can go again in an Extra Mode, where he can go with half of his life. In the end, it is revealed that King Dedede took it because he had to hide it from the nightmares, and Kirby has to go through an eighth level to defeat it.

Sub-games

This game has five sub-games: Quick Draw, Bomb Rally, Kirby's Air Grind, Boss Endurance, and Meta Knightmare, the former three available before beating the game and can be found in the levels normally and the latter two found by beating the game in the regular mode and Extra Mode respectively.
