Degout is an enemy appearing in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Dream Collection. It can be found within the Egg Engines world in Halcandra and in Pop Star on Extra Mode. It can be considered cousins with the Scrafy and the Mumbies.
Game Appearances
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
The first time Degout makes an appearance is in the game Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Here, it can be found within the Egg Engines world in Halcandra and Pop Star area on Extra Mode. It acts and looks very similar to Scarfies and Mumbies. It cannot be inhaled and doesn't have any ability to speak of. Here, there are two types of the enemy: One is a grey-colored Degout. It is passive, only attacking if it is attacked. It also stays in one place. The second type is a red-colored one. This type attacks without warning and even if the player doesn't hit it. It is more aggressive than the grey type, attacking without notice. It would get tired out after a little bit of chasing the player, allowing the player to kill the enemy.
Kirby's Dream Collection
In the next game Degout appears in, it is the grey type that appear. It exhibits the same pattern from the previous game. It appears in the New Challenge part.
