Degout is an enemy the debuted in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It can be considered cousins with the Scarfy and the Mumbies, but is distinct from them in its robotic appearance and high HP.
Game Appearances
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
Degout is found within the Egg Engines and Dangerous Dinner levels in Halcandra and in Pop Star on Extra Mode. It looks very similar to Mumbies, though it bears a robotic shell rather than bandages. It cannot be inhaled. There are two types of Degout. The standard Degout has a gray colTemplate:Ouration, and will either remain passive until attacked, or attempt to pursue Kirby while his back is turned, much like a Boo from the Mario games. The second type has a red colTemplate:Ouration, and is known as a Hunter Degout, which attacks any character holding a Key, similar to a Hunter Scarfy.
Kirby's Dream Collection
In Kirby's Dream Collection, only regular Degouts appear. They exhibit the same patterns from their previous appearance. They appear in the New Challenge Stages Sub-Game.
Kirby: Triple Deluxe
Degout appears briefly in Kirby: Triple Deluxe and bears a slightly brighter metallic shell and light yellow eyes as opposed to the old orange ones. Unlike in previous appearances, Degout is never passive, and will always attempt to pursue Kirby or King Dedede. While Hunter Scarfy does appear in this game, Hunter Degout does not.
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Degout appears late into the game, not being seen until stage 3 of Rhythm Route. It bears its yellow eye from Triple Deluxe, but is generally more passive, like its Return to Dream Land incarnation.
