ChuChu[1] is one of Kirby's Animal Friends in Kirby's Dream Land 3, first appearing in the second stage of Grass Land. She is a pink, blob-like octopus wearing a red bow on her head. Unlike other Animal Friends, who can carry Kirby around in some manner, ChuChu rides on Kirby's head while teamed up with him.
She is able to use her sticky, extendable "tentacles" to grab enemies in front of her and put them into Kirby's mouth, as well as sticking to and moving along ceillings. Furthermore, pressing the B button while ChuChu is falling increases her altitude a little, making it possible to slow down her fall if the button is pressed repeatedly.
Despite being an octopus, ChuChu has no increased swimming skills.
