In-game sprite.

Bobin is an enemy found in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It resembles a round, amethyst-Template:Coloured pufferfish with a pair of small, black eyes and two fins, as well as round lips, which are of a pale red shade. Although the Template:Colour of its underbelly is shown to be white in its official artwork, Bobin's in-game sprite depicts it with a pale lavender tone.

Bobins are first encountered in the first stage of Ripple Field. Being primarily aquatic, they are initially found in water. If Kirby is in the same body of water as a Bobin, it follows him, occasionally emitting a yellow spark from its mouth, with slowly travels in a straight line and can harm Kirby if he touches it. Should Kirby approach a Bobin while on land, however, the fish leaps out of the water, trying to land on a platform above it, and proceeds to fire electricity at the pink hero. Once it has finished its attack, the Bobin's further actions depend on the type of platform it has ended up on; if it landed on a platform it can drop through, it immediately does so in order to return to the water. If it has managed to jump onto solid ground, however, it begins to hop after Kirby, shooting sparks. If it reaches a drop-through platform while doing so, it attempts to return to its natural habitat by plummeting through it.

Inside and outside of water, Bobins are vulnerable to any attack. Inhaling and swallowing them grants Kirby the Spark Copy Ability.
