==Battle==

The battle initiates when [[Kirby]] enters the temple in [[Wild World]]. After he makes his way through the boss door, he sees [[Taranza]] in front of a statue where Coily Rattler is depicted. Taranza then uses his magic to animate the statue, and Coily Rattler is brought back to life. The now sentient statue and Kirby then face off.

Coily Rattler also possesses a DX version in ''Kirby: Triple Deluxe'', which is more powerful. It has long red horns, a blue stone on its grayish face, and silver and yellow armor. It is encountered in [[Dededetour!]] and [[The True Arena]].

In Dededetour!, instead of being brought to life by [[Taranza]], Coily Rattler DX seems to bring itself to life without help.
